Integrating your Ayahuasca experience into your everyday life is essential to see long term benefits in your personal and spiritual development. In this post we will go thorough the key points for a good integration after the ayahuasca ceremonies.
You already went through an ayahuasca deep spiritual experience, everything looks brighter now, you feel renewed and energetically fresh, feeling the connection with the universe, nature and the spiritual world… But it’s time to go back to the city, back to your job and manage daily life in the world.
Stressful situations may arise again, complicated relationships, a lot of temptations but… don’t worry, we got you!, in this blog post you will find a little guide on how to manage your post retreat first months and how to not lose yourself in the process.
It’s very common to feel overwhelmed by your routine and things you now know that you want to change in your daily life after experiencing ayahuasca, you are back home and everything you experienced is still so fresh, you made new friends, surrounded by a nice vibe, and you might have a hard time going back to your routine. It’s time to integrate the experience into your daily life, finding ways to recover your center, and some discipline to keep yourself healthy both in the physical and spiritual realm.
Start with your body to integrate the ayahuasca experience into your everyday life.
Before you jump into many conclusions and start making a lot of big changes in your life, focus on the little things, your body. Focus on your diet, keep a healthy routine, take advantage of the days you already spent without drinking alcohol, eat healthy and practice meditation or breathwork regularly. At Masterplan retreat you will learn some breathing exercises between ayahuasca sessions, practice those techniques everytime you feel stressed or out of your center. The spirit of ayahuasca will live with you as long as you honor it, be conscious of what is that you let enter your temple, this way you will be able to maintain the precious energy of Ayahuasca guiding your steps.
To integrate your ayahuasca experience into your daily life we strongly recommend journaling and taking time to think about yourself. Take notes of all the deep insights you had during the retreat, focusing especially on the mental patterns that you discovered that may block your spiritual and personal growth. Write down the insights and solutions that you can bring home and apply in your day-to-day life, and once you find your weak spots, make a list of I am affirmations to repeat every day, especially when you feel out of center.
Use these notes and your journal as a personal guide. At Masterplan we have integration circles after every ceremony, when someone else shares their experience we can reflect on how we also feel the same in our life, and when we share our own experience we organize our ideas and understand our process better. We don’t tell you what to do, but help you create a plan to find the affirmations that can help you continue with personal guidance.
After your deep spiritual ayahuasca experience it is important to choose who you want to share your energy with, some people may not understand your process and spirituality, that’s ok, it’s very common to see that some of your personal relationships are not really helpful or needed anymore after a spiritual awakening. It’s natural to see a change of friends as our interests also change, no one is better than the other, it’s just that we vibrate at a different frequency. If you find yourself alone after this happens, talk to your friends from the retreat, try joining activities in your town to find people that like practicing meditation, yoga or any chamanic ceremonies and be patient until you start finding a network of other people who is on your same path, we are all over the world. At Masterplan Retreat we create a new family after every retreat, you will be a part of the retreat group where you can chat and share your insights, and we keep the doors open for everyone who needs support before or after a retreat, don’t worry, if you are having a hard time integrating your ayahuasca experience you will always have a community where the team and other participants will be ready to help!
You may have some very strong emotions and big ideas after some ayahuasca ceremonies like… I have to quit my job! Or… I need to break up with my partner! We suggest taking 2-4 weeks after the retreat until making big changes in your life, this way you will make this big decisions from a neutral and balanced place. If you still want to make this changes in your life after this cooldown period, take the courage and strength you need and create the life you want! You are the creator of your own destiny.
In this article on how to integrate your ayahuasca experience into your daily life we talked about the importance of taking integration seriously after the retreat, keeping you body and mind healthy, organizing your ideas and finding ways to maintain your balance and mental strength like meditation, breathwork and affirmations. Now it’s time to keep growing… But what if we fall back a few steps?
Falling back and making bad decisions after we start implementing changes in our life is a part of the process. Embrace the bad decisions, forgive yourself and use them to know the places where you don’t want to be anymore, find the triggers that made you go back to the darkness and make the adjustments needed to make sure you don’t go back there anymore, that’s the journey, patience is key.
